The Trump Administration Now Has Tons Of DACA Data And Is Poised To Weaponize It

Trump has decided to end DACA, with 6-month delay

I have known undocumented immigrants who arrived in this country as children. They are Americans. They are as American as you or I. They don’t have accents, they watched all the same shows, they participate in the same politics, they went to the same schools. The only thing that separates them from any Joe six-pack is the bullshit they have to put up with when it comes to employment and travel, and the living with the constant fear of exile from the only country they belong in and belong to.

The truth is, they should be citizens, and if it weren’t for Republican obstructionism, they already would be. DACA is a stopgap for a cruelly intolerable state of affairs. Repealing it is indefensible.

Trump Pardons Sheriff Joe Arpaio

Arpaio’s contempt conviction was for defying a court order to stop violating people’s constitutional rights. Trump swore to “perserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States“. I’ll be surprised if anything ever comes of that, alas.
