Trump Campaign Aides Had Repeated Contacts With Russian Intelligence. I prefer to focus on the presidency over stuff that happened during the campaign, but this is new information. At best, our president had the active cooperation of Russia in getting elected because they saw him as the candidate most favorable to their interest. At worst, there was a deal, in which case we can expect quid pro quo.
The Flynn affair continues, bizarrely. Trump knew Flynn misled officials on Russia calls for ‘weeks,’ White House says. As noted in the article, Trump said something different a few days ago.
The word “fact” is, I note, not the same thing as an actual fact. It’s that old signifier/signified distinction rearing its liberal head again. The facts, of course, are entirely on the side of people who aren’t in the Trump administration.
